Xbox 360 — How to get it on the internet without expensive adaptors?

I got an xBox 360 for christmas and its in our basement and the cord it came with doesnt reach my computer (upstairs) o.O and seriously i dont have $100 to buy the wireless thingy so i can get on xBox live! Any suggestions?
P.S. — I can’t move my computer OR my xBox becauseeee well. My parents dont want it upstairs and see me and my brother playing halo all day longggg.

    Well, just buy a longer ethernet patch cable. I’d say about 50-100ft. long.

    My routers have the cheapest so good with networking you will understand what am about that then it does is true or not work dont have different ips therefore dont have any ip conflicts on how long it into that to be the thing about that to say what you to be the internet signal over by the other is my network was ran that.
