Why does Xbox live instantly disconnect when I start Cod4?

As soon as I start Call of Duty 4, Xbox Live disconnects. When I go to dashboard, i’m connected instantly again. Live works fine with every other game that I try but not Cod4. I tried restarting the xbox and also tried again after an hour or so but with no luck. Any ideas?

    The game is probably checking for updates and it needs to do this it shows you reconnected on the dashboard wouldnt worry about it happens everytime one.
