What is the best way to clean an Xbox 360 controller to make it feel brand new?

Jay asked:

Hi

I have a couple of Xbox 360 controllers, I have been using one for a few months, and just got a new one today and noticed the supreme difference on how much gripper and new the new one felt.

I understand that human hands naturally give off oils, and sometimes sweat taht over time make our controllers less gripper. Which is the best way to clean the Xbox 360 controllers to make them feel brand new? (Including the joystick pieces if you know)
